Button Mushrooms Composting Systems — Professional Composting Solutions

Overview

WOCODO's Button Mushrooms Composting Systems provide a complete, professional-grade solution for producing high-quality mushroom substrate. Our systems cover the entire composting process from raw material preparation through Phase I, Phase II pasteurization, and Phase III spawn-run conditioning.

Phase I — Outdoor Composting

Raw materials including wheat straw, horse manure, gypsum, and poultry litter are mixed and stacked in concrete bunkers. Automated turning machines ensure uniform decomposition over 6–12 days, with controlled watering to maintain optimal moisture levels.

Phase II — Pasteurization

The pre-composted substrate is transferred to insulated tunnels where precise temperature control (58–60°C) eliminates harmful organisms while promoting beneficial thermophilic microbial activity. Our aeration systems with high-pressure fans ensure uniform air distribution throughout the substrate mass.

Phase III — Spawn Run

After pasteurization, the substrate is cooled and inoculated with mushroom spawn. Climate-controlled tunnels maintain ideal temperature (24–25°C) and CO₂ levels for mycelium colonization over 14–16 days.

Automation & Control

All processes are managed through our integrated PLC control system, featuring real-time monitoring of temperature, humidity, ammonia, and CO₂ concentrations. Remote access via web dashboard allows 24/7 oversight from anywhere.
